- Our 15 after-school childcare locations (IBO) are open to pupils from several schools and also provide care on school-free days and during the holidays.
- Our 5 on-site school childcare locations (BIS) offer before- and after-school care for children from one specific school.

Registering for after-school childcare
We use the 'Deona' tool for out after-school childcare. This tool allows you to keep your child's file up to date, book childcare, and pay your monthly invoices.
Before you can get started, you need to sign up. You only have to do this once:
- Go to the Deona website.
- Enter your email address and click ‘Next’.
- Complete your details and, if applicable, those of the other parent. Click ‘Next’.
- Enter your child’s details. Click ‘Next’.
- Our administrative team will then create a contract. This can take up to 5 working days.
- Only after you receive this contract can you book childcare sessions.

Did you know that our after-school childcare in the Antwerp region takes part in the RAKET inclusion programme? Each Antwerp IBO location offers 2 places during before- and after-school childcare for children with special educational needs from other schools.

Are you aware of the reduced rate for families facing financial difficulties? In Antwerp, we accept the A-card with reduced rate status to grant this discount.

What’s the ideal balance between autonomy and guidance? That's exactly what we explore together with your child and with all other children. Because children have a voice and we listen. In our space, we quite literally welcome you with open arms: it’s a safe place to play and explore. And emotionally, it’s just as secure: every feeling and every emotion is welcome.
There's never a quiet moment here. We talk, read and sing. We share stories, ask questions and discover new things together. Language shapes our day. It’s at the heart of how we share experiences and express our feelings, and how we let others know what we need. Sometimes with words, sometimes with a glance, and sometimes with gestures.

We’re as proud as peacocks of the wonderful diversity in our childcare, where we see each child for who they truly are. At the same time, we make sure each flight is at just the right height for what a child needs and can handle. We offer a healthy mix of free play, guided activities and themed experiences that help every child spread their wings.

Alongside their nest at home and at school, we are the third nest for children. Our childcare is a warm, safe cocoon where they connect with themselves, with others and with the wider world.

To us, connecting communication - from the heart - is the essence of how we communicate with children, parents, colleagues and everyone around us: wanting to understand one another and putting connection first.
Reimbursement for out-of-school childcare
As a customer of Helan Health Insurance, we pay €5 per day toward to cost for out-of-school childcare, up to a maximum of 40 days per calendar year. A one-off excess of €10 per calendar year applies, per young person.

House rules
Every out-of-school childcare location has its own house rules. You’ll receive these when you register for out-of-school childcare. If you would like to request an extra copy you can do so via the contact form.
Got a compliment, suggestion or complaint?
If you have any feedback about the day-to-day running of our childcare, we recommend that you discuss this with our childminders or team leaders first.
We strongly encourage you to share specific feedback directly with our staff. If you’re unhappy about something, we’ll listen and work with you to find a possible solution. That way, we can keep improving the quality of our childcare.
