Are you hosting refugees from Ukraine or are you helping them to settle in Belgium? We make sure they remain insured here too. Ukrainians who are temporarily residing in Belgium under special status can join the mandatory health insurance.
You work in Belgium, and you officially live in the EU, EEA or Switzerland. In that case, you have to join a Belgian health insurance fund in order to get an S1 or S072 form for the health insurance institution of the country where you live. Each health insurance fund takes care of the reimbursement of the care on its own territory.
This can easily be done digitally.
Helan can provide you with the form S1 or S072.
The Netherlands
Helan forwards the S072 form directly to the Centraal Ziekenfonds (CZ). After this, you need to register yourself and your family members online for the free treaty policy. CZ will then reimburse your Dutch care on their terms and rates.
France
Submit the S1 form to the CPAM of your place of residence. CPAM will let you know which family members you also need to co-insure in Belgium and is responsible for reimbursing care in France.
Germany
Send the S1 form to your Krankenkasse. The Krankenkasse will let you know which family members you should also co-insure in Belgium and is responsible for reimbursing care in Germany.
