Are you less mobile, finding it harder to manage household tasks, or in need of extra personal care? Helan Home Care is here to lend a helping hand.
A professional caregiver comes to your home and supports you with personal care, administrative and household tasks, such as:
Our caregivers work according to the model of goal-oriented care. They listen to you and support you in strengthening your independence. Whether that involves personal care, help with administrative tasks or grocery shopping, or preparing meals. You decide.
This way, we help you continue living comfortably in your familiar home environment.
With home care, you pay a user contribution per hour, and the government pays the rest. How much you pay depends on your family income and the number of dependents. A home care service employee will assess your situation and calculate your contribution based on the official scales of the Department of Care.
If you also receive help in the evenings or at weekends, you pay a supplement on top of your hourly contribution. Would you like a no-obligation estimate? Feel free to contact us.
We’ll call you as soon as possible. If we can’t reach you right away, we’ll send you an email.
Our caregivers are available quickly. How quickly depends on the region where you live. The regional coordinator will schedule a home visit before the actual care starts, in order to better understand your care needs. Together, you agree on when the care will start.
Do you suddenly need urgent care? In unforeseen emergency situations, we can temporarily start acute home care for a short period without a home visit. This way, you will receive help quickly, even in an unexpected situation.
With home care, a caregiver supports you with your daily activities, such as household tasks, grocery shopping or preparing meals. Household help focuses on maintaining your home.
When possible (by car or within walking distance), you are welcome to come along for grocery shopping.
If support from the caregiver is necessary, they can drive you to the hospital.
Your caregiver may carry out light household tasks. We ask that this is limited to a maximum of one quarter of the total time
The caregiver is there for you and your household. If you step out briefly while the caregiver is there, that’s not a problem. Will you be absent for a longer time? Please cancel your appointment in good time.
During the home visit, the regional coordinator will always leave their contact details. You can also contact our Home Care service on 09 269 85 90, every working day from 8 am to 5 pm, and on Fridays from 1 pm to 4 pm.
We appreciate it if you inform us in good time (at least 2 working days in advance) of your absence. You can cancel the care at the latest on the last working day before the scheduled care, before 3 pm. For later cancellations, a fee will be charged, unless you can demonstrate a case of force majeure (for example an emergency hospital admission or an accident).
We strongly encourage payment by direct debit. It’s also the easiest option for you.
Depending on your care needs and preferences, we work together to create a flexible care schedule. Our caregivers usually visit in blocks of at least 2 hours.
Home nursing is there for you when you need medical care. For example after surgery or an accident while you are recovering at home, or when you are chronically or long-term ill. A nurse visits you at home and can provide specialised medical care, such as giving injections, caring for a wound or a stoma, or offering advice for diabetes. Whatever your situation, home nursing provides medical care tailored to your needs.
Home care offers extra support in those same care situations. The support is non-medical. A caregiver visits you at home to help with personal hygiene, grocery shopping or preparing meals, administrative tasks, or keeping your household running smoothly.
Helan can arrange both services for you. Not sure exactly what you need? Feel free to contact us and we’ll gladly guide you towards the right support for your situation. Call us on 02 218 22 22, or complete the online application form and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Is your partner, family member, informal carer or a close acquaintance taking care of your administration? Then make sure to register your contact person in your file. This allows us to reach them quickly if we have questions about your file.
Every care situation is different, and we are happy to offer tailored support. Our Social Services team is your first point of contact. Their support is completely free of charge, whether you are a member or not.
