Accident
Have you applied for sickness benefits or submitted medical expenses following an accident at home, at work, during sports or in other circumstances? Then you will receive an accident declaration from your health insurance fund. Make sure to always complete this accident declaration.
What is the purpose of the accident declaration?
In the case of an accident caused by a third party, your health insurance fund has the right to recover the reimbursement of medical expenses and any benefits paid from the insurance company of the person responsible for the accident. Based on the information you provide in the accident declaration, we immediately know which insurer to contact.
If it concerns an accident in a private context, you should also clearly indicate this in the accident declaration. This way, we know right away that no third parties are involved and we can close the file.

You will receive the accident declaration digitally in your inbox in My Helan, or by post.
You can do this most quickly via the digital declaration in the Documents section of My Helan.
