Respite care to complement professional care
If you’re an informal carer, a volunteer sitter can support you in the daily care of an adult in your area who needs care. The sitter visits at home and provides light care and companionship. This gives you, as a carer, the chance to take a break, while the person in need of care remains safe and comfortable at home. For this service, Helan works together with the i-mens sitting service.
What does a sitter do?
- provide companionship and supervision when the informal carer is away for a while
- help with food and drinks: heating up meals, assisting with eating, washing up
- do the shopping, for you or together with you
Did you know…
as a Helan customer, you can be reimbursed up to €30 per day for a home sitter?
