Camps, playground activities, holiday childcare and school trips
Camps, playground activities, holiday childcare during school holidays or school trips are great for your children. That’s why you can count on a generous reimbursement of the registration fees.
Helan advantage: up to €190 reimbursed
Helan Health Insurance reimburses €5 per day per calendar year for up to 40 days for:
- Multi-day activities with or without an overnight stay of at least 2 consecutive days, such as a sports camp or a youth movement camp.
- School childcare during school holidays, playground activities and school trips, which are reimbursed from the first day.
Helan applies an annual deductible of €10 per beneficiary, which means the maximum reimbursement per year can amount to €190.
In addition, Helan provides:
- €25 per day for Hannibal camps for children with a disability.
- €75 for health camps with medical criteria, such as camps for children with obesity, coeliac disease or diabetes. See our statutes for all medical criteria that qualify.
- €250 when participating in a holiday camp specifically for young people with disabilities.

Please send us your reimbursement form or the invoice:
- Digitally: via the My Helan app (mobile) or through My Helan (desktop). Don’t forget to add your sticker.
- By post to Helan Independent Health Insurance, Boomsesteenweg 5, 2610 Wilrijk, with a white sticker attached. Or drop it in a Helan letterbox near you.
We will transfer the amount to your bank account after the camp has taken place.
- You are up to date with your health insurance contribution.
- These reimbursements cannot be combined for the same camp.
- You cannot use this advantage for Heyo camps.
- The reimbursed amount can never exceed the amount you paid.
- Only for organisations based in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Luxembourg.
- For multi-day activities, playground activities, school trips and school childcare during holidays, an annual deductible of €10 per beneficiary applies.
- Multi-day activities must last at least 2 consecutive days.
- Only for children and young people up to and including 18 years old.
Tax benefit
Youth holidays are tax deductible up to €15.70 per day.
You will automatically receive the tax certificate.
You don’t need to do anything. The organiser of the camp, playground activities or the multi-day activity will issue the tax certificate. You will receive it automatically.
Only for children up to and including 14 years old.
