Privacy statement for ironing and housecleaning employees

The information and rights of employees in the context of processing personal data.

Helan Household Help vzw (hereafter: Helan Household Help) acts as data controller for the employees' data processed in the online application. Data processing is carried out in accordance with the legal provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation. All information regarding the processing of personal data

Helan Household Help vzw processes your data with a view to the administration and management of the files of employees engaged by Helan Household Help vzw under an employment contract.

Your data are also processed:

  • with a view to managing your salary package
  • .
  • for the purpose of planning and evaluating your activities
  • with a view to improving the quality of our services, including combating fraud
  • with a view to the possible management of a dispute with former employees

The data processed by Helan Household Help, are processed on the basis of Articles 6(l)(b) and (c) and 9(2)(b) of the European Regulation (processing necessary for the performance of a contract to which the employee is a party, and processing necessary for the performance of Helan Household Help's or the employee's own obligations and rights in the field of labour law, social security and social protection). In doing so, we rely in particular on the following specific legislation: the Law of 3 July 1978 on employment contracts, its implementing decrees and the Royal Decree of 5 November 2002 on labour law which justifies the use of the national registration number (Dimona).

Depending on the information you communicate to us, Helan Household Help can and may process the following personal data: 

  • identifying data (names, address, telephone number, etc.)
  • national registration number
  • financial details (bank account number)
  • psychological data (personality, character, etc.)
  • education and schooling,
  • personal characteristics (age, gender, marital status), 
  • family composition 
  • occupation and employment data
  • health data (in the event of incapacity for work)

Your data mainly comes from:

  • you or anyone you have authorised
  • the Crossroads Bank for Social Security
  • any other government department, active in labour law, social security and social protection

All such data are processed by authorised personnel who are contractually subject to professional secrecy. Security measures are also taken to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of your data.

Your personal data may be communicated:

  • to yourself and/or your legal representatives (including provisional administrator) or to your representative (professional adviser, lawyer, mediator, etc.) in possession of a power of attorney
  • to the processors listed below that the controller uses in the context of the execution of the employment contract:
  • to a duly authorised third party (law, contract, authorisation, consent)
  • to your creditors in the context of enforcement proceedings
  • to judicial or police authorities

For the performance of a number of processing operations, Helan Household Help relies on specialised third parties (processors). They then perform processing on behalf of Helan Household Help: 

  • •MLOZ IT, Lenniksebaan 788, 1070 Anderlecht, our IT supplier 
  • Dirmacom for the planning tool for service vouchers activities 
  • SD Worx, as social secretariat
  • Mediwe, as the institution responsible for physicians performing check-ups
  • Ethias, as the work accident insurer

Only your identification data may be transferred outside the EEA, and only upon your request. 

Your data from your employment with Helan Household Help vzw will be kept for 30 years from the end of your employment contract (for any reason), unless Helan Household Help is required by law to apply a different period.

When your personal data are subject to processing, there are several rights you can exercise in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. This allows you to request access to the data about you that Helan Household Help processes. You have the right to obtain a free copy of the processed data.

In addition, you have the right to correct your data, and in certain cases to have your data erased. You can also oppose the use of your data for specified purposes (e.g. for direct marketing) in special situations.
