Changing your hospitalisation insurance cover

Hospitalia, Helan’s hospitalisation insurance, has three policies. Each policy has its own price and cover. In addition, Helan also offers a low-cost waiting policy, Hospitalia Continuity. Over the years, your situation may change and you may want to switch to a different policy or cover. Find out how to do that here.

Changing Hospitalia policy

Are you currently insured under Hospitalia, Hospitalia Medium or Hospitalia Plus and want to change policy? You can!

You can change your cover at any time: extend or reduce your policy.

Please note: If you opt for a more comprehensive cover, you must complete a medical questionnaire again. And a waiting period of six months will apply to the new coverage.

We will be happy to advise you on the different policies. Contact us, and together we will find the policy that suits you best.

Switch to Hospitalia Continuity

Do you currently have hospitalisation insurance through Helan, but will be getting hospitalisation insurance through your employer in the future? That's great!

You do not have to completely cancel your hospitalisation insurance with Helan when this happens. You can switch to our waiting policy: Hospitalia Continuity. That way, you can be sure that you are always fully covered, even if you change employers or lose your job.

Contact us to make the switch to Hospitalia Continuity.

Switch from Hospitalia Continuity to Hospitalia, Hospitalia Medium or Plus

Has your employer-sponsored policy ended for some reason and do you currently have the Hospitalia Continuity waiting policy? Then you can very easily switch to full hospitalisation insurance.

The advantage? Having Hospitalia Continuity means no waiting period or age-related surcharges will be applied and you will therefore remain continuously insured. Would you like to switch? Then simply contact us .

Compare Hospitalia, Hospitalia Medium and Hospitalia Plus

HospitaliaHospitalia Medium, or Hospitalia Plus? Of course, what you want a hospitalisation insurance policy to do is to cover what is important to you. Choose one of the three policies, depending on your personal circumstances. This will ensure you get the ideal value for money. Compare and select whichever policy suits you best.
