The household helper is available to work both indoors and outdoors. Together, we make sure everything runs smoothly and safely. On this page, you will find everything you need to know when you first start to have household help.
Your household helper will work with the equipment and products you have in your home. Some equipment is mandatory for certain tasks so that your household helper can work safely. Together, go over the equipment and products you have and see whether it is necessary to purchase additional items. Click here to view a full list of safe equipment and products.
It is best to be present during your household helper's first visit. That way, you can go over all the tasks together and show where the equipment and products are located. Remember to explain where the first-aid kit is and where there are potentially dangerous places in your home. From the second visit onwards, you do not need to be present and can communicate with your household help through the Poetswijzer (cleaning guide).
Constructive feedback only improves collaboration.
If you are at home when your household helper visits, then giving feedback in person is preferable, of course.
Tips for an easier conversation:
Are you not going to be at home when your household helper visits? Then note your expectations and feedback in the Poetswijzer. The Poetswijzer is the communication notebook between you and your household helper. Download your Poetswijzer here or ask your consultant about it.
Please note! Your household helper may only perform the following tasks in the personal areas of your home. This means, for example, not in a professional space such as a doctor's office.
There are some tasks your household helper is not allowed to take on. This is because they are unsafe, can harm health or are prohibited by law. This avoids our household helpers developing physical complaints and means you will be able to rely on an extra pair hands all the time. The following tasks are not permitted:
You can order and pay for your electronic service vouchers at Pluxee (Sodexo). You do not have to pay when your household helper comes. Several days later, you will receive an email from Pluxee to confirm the work that was done. Once this is confirmed, your household helper can be paid. Paper service vouchers are also available. In that case, you will pay your household helper immediately after the work is performed: one service voucher per hour of work performed. Read everything about requesting and paying with service vouchers here.
Rest assured. Our household helpers are trained to work safely. What if something nevertheless goes wrong? If so, we are comprehensively insured for damage and work-related accidents. Learn more about it here.
