Preventive check-ups
Detecting certain conditions at an early stage helps with the treatment. That is why Helan offers reimbursements for preventive check-ups.
€30 for medical check-ups
Helan Health Insurance provides a 10 euro reimbursement per consultation for a screening or preventive check-up, such as a mammogram, spirometry test, endoscopy, blood test or smear test, or the purchase of a self-test for colon cancer, up to 3 times per year.

Download the reimbursement form for preventive check-ups and have it completed by the doctor (for check-ups) or by the pharmacist (for a colon cancer self-test). Or send us the invoice for the examination.
Send the document to Helan.
- Digitally: via the Helan app or via My Helan. An adhesive stamp is not required, we identify your document through your login.
- By post to Helan Health Insurance, Boomsesteenweg 5 in 2610 Wilrijk, with a white postage stamp. Or drop it in a Helan mailbox near you.
We will transfer the amount to your bank account.
- You are up to date with your health insurance contributions.
- Only for check-ups that are NOT reimbursed by the statutory health insurance.
- Check-ups and analyses must be prescribed by a doctor, except for the cancer self-test.
- The colon cancer self-test must be purchased from a pharmacy.
- Medical apps are not eligible.
- This benefit only applies when performed in Belgium.
