Membership costs for sports clubs or youth organisations
Do you play sport at a club, work out at a fitness centre, or belong to a youth organisation? We’ll reimburse your membership costs or subscription fee.

Up to €50 reimbursed
You get up to 50 euros reimbursed per year for your membership cost at a sports club or youth organization.
Note: until 2024, you were reimbursed a maximum of 25 euros.

Download the form and have it filled out by your sports club or youth organization. Or request a certificate. Make sure the payment date is mentioned on it.
Send the completed form to Helan.
- Digitally: using the My Helan app (mobile) or via My Helan (desktop). Don't forget your postage stamp.
- By mail to Helan Independent Health Insurance, Boomsesteenweg 5, 2610 Wilrijk, with a white adhesive stamp. Or drop it in a Helan mailbox in your area.
We will transfer the amount to your bank account.
- You are up to date with your health insurance contribution.
- You choose whether to use this benefit for the membership cost of a sports club or youth organization.
- The membership must be with a youth organization recognized by the Department of Youth and listed on the website of De Ambrassade.
- The membership must be for a movement sport. The sport activity must be included in the selection list of sports in the search tool on www.sport.vlaanderen.
- The registration must cover at least one season, except in the case of start-to-courses, a 10-session card, or a fitness subscription at a sports center where you work out individually or in a club setting under supervision.
- Personal coaching with an independent coach is not eligible for reimbursement.
- The reimbursement is granted once per calendar year and applies to the start date of the season (e.g., 01/01 or 01/09).
- You cannot request a reimbursement higher than the actual registration amount. If you request a reimbursement for a registration of 30 euros, you will receive 30 euros back. However, you can request reimbursements for other registrations until you reach a total of 50 euros.
- If you take out a family subscription of less than 50 euros, only one person from the family can receive the reimbursement. If the family subscription costs more than 50 euros, another family member can use the remaining amount through their own sports benefit.
- The reimbursement applies to membership fees for a sports club/sports center in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, and Luxembourg.

Members of Helan Health Insurance get a 20% discount on a yearly subscription at one of the participating fitness centers.
Bring a white adhesive stamp with you.
When registering, you give a white adhesive stamp from the health insurance to the fitness center.
The discount will be applied automatically.
The discount will be deducted from your subscription cost at the fitness center.
- You are up to date with your health insurance contribution.
- The discount cannot be combined with temporary promotions and/or offers from the fitness center at the time of registration.
