Are you temporarily or long-term unable to provide care for a loved one? You can count on Helan for a reimbursement for additional assistance.
Up to €30 reimbursed per day
As a member of Helan Health Insurance Fund, you receive a reimbursement of up to 30 euros per day, for a maximum of 14 days per year.
Do you use this benefit for overnight care by a volunteer? Then you are entitled to a reimbursement of up to 30 euros per day for a maximum of 28 days per year.
Request a home carer.
We are happy to arrange professional home care for you. Request it digitally via the form and select 'respite care'. You can also request a carer yourself through an organisation of your choice.
Send the invoice to Helan.
- Digitally: via the Helan app or via My Helan.
- By post to Helan Health Insurance Fund, Boomsesteenweg 5, 2610 Wilrijk, including a white adhesive stamp. Or drop it in a Helan mailbox near you.
We will transfer the amount to your bank account.
- You are up to date with your health insurance contributions.
- The home care service is provided in Belgium.
- You are eligible for this benefit in case of a recognised disability or Alzheimer’s disease.
