NIPT prenatal blood test

Want to have a prenatal blood test carried out safely? You can count on a reimbursement for the non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT).

Statutory reimbursement

The statutory health insurance provides a reimbursement for the NIPT to detect Down syndrome. You only pay the patient contribution. If you benefit from the increased reimbursement, you don't have to pay the patient contribution.

The doctor arranges the reimbursement directly with your health insurance via the third-party payment system. You only pay the co-payment.

  • You are at least 12 weeks pregnant.
  • The test has been prescribed by the doctor monitoring the pregnancy.
  • The test is performed by a specialist in clinical biology or pathological anatomy, or in a human genetics center under the supervision of a recognized clinical geneticist.
  • The period between receiving the blood sample in the lab and delivering the result to the prescribing doctor should not exceed four working days.
  • The test may only be billed once per pregnancy.
