Kidney dialysis at home
If you choose to have your kidney dialysis at home, there are additional costs involved. Helan Health Insurance will reimburse these costs.
Get up to €40 reimbursed
If you choose to have a dialysis treatment at home, you are eligible for a reimbursement of 40 euros per year for additional costs you incur for the dialysis (water, electricity, or other materials).
Download the reimbursement form.
Download the reimbursement form for home dialysis and have it filled out by your treating physician, or request a completed and signed medical certificate from your treating physician.
Send the form or medical certificate to Helan.
- Digitally: using the My Helan app (mobile) or via My Helan (desktop). An adhesive stamp is not required, we identify your document using your login.
- By mail to Helan Independent Health Fund, Boomsesteenweg 5, 2610 Wilrijk, with a white adhesive stamp. Or drop it off in a Helan mailbox in your area.
We will transfer the amount to your bank account.
- You are up to date with your health insurance contributions.
- You provide proof from your treating physician that the dialysis is being performed at your home.
