Hoelang is de wachttijd?

Elke verzekering heeft een wachttijd. Dat is de periode vanaf je aansluiting die je moet overbruggen voor je terugbetalingen kan krijgen. Niet leuk als je net dan dringende tandzorgen nodig hebt. Daarom schrapt Dentalia Up de wachttijd als je een ongeval of kanker krijgt. Ook als je preventief naar de tandarts gaat, of als je al een gelijkaardige verzekering hebt, vervalt de wachttijd . Geen wachttijd bij een ongeval of kanker. Geen wachttijd bij preventieve tandzorgen. 6 maanden wachttijd bij curatieve tandzorgen. 12 maanden wachttijd bij orthodontie, parodontologie, prothesen en implantaten. Kan ik mijn verzekering opzeggen?

Je kan je verzekering op elk moment stopzetten met een opzegtermijn van minstens 1 maand . De termijn gaat in op de eerste dag van de maand die volgt op de datum waarop je je verzekering hebt opgezegd. Een standaard opzegformulier vind je in Mijn Helan . Dat kan je aangetekend per post versturen naar: Boomsesteenweg 5, 2610 Wilrijk. Je kan je brief ook afgeven in je Helan kantoor of opladen via ons contactformulier . Denk goed na vooraleer je je verzekering stopzet. Tandzorgen worden namelijk steeds duurder. Dentalia Up biedt een uitgebreide terugbetaling voor preventieve en curatieve tandzorgen, orthodontie, prothesen en implantaten, en voor kosten bij een ongeval of kanker. Maak een afspraak met een adviseur als je vragen hebt over je verzekering of de bijdragen.

Vanaf wanneer gaat mijn aansluiting van start?

Je aansluiting bij Dentalia Up gaat van start op de eerste dag van de maand die volgt op de maand waarin we de aansluitingsformulieren ontvangen hebben. Dentalia Up: how much does dental insurance cost?

Certain dental treatments, such as braces and implants, are not cheap. But your smile is really important.

Helan provides affordable dental care for you and your family. With the Dentalia Up dental insurance, you can receive reimbursements of up to €5,000. Dentalia Up is a separate insurance policy that offers extensive cover for, among other things, orthodontics for young people, dental prostheses and implants.

You can join Dentalia Up up to and including the age of 64. Dentalia Up protects your entire family. As a family insurance policy, everyone in your household must join, unless someone already has a similar insurance. In the overview below, you’ll find the monthly premiums per age category, valid from January 2026.

How much does Dentalia Up dental insurance cost?

The cost of Dentalia Up dental insurance can vary significantly and depends on several factors, such as age and level of cover. At Helan Health Insurance, Dentalia Up offers extensive cover with an excellent price–quality ratio. The monthly premium you pay depends on your age and the age at which you join. The earlier you start with Dental insurance Dentalia Up, the lower your monthly premium will be.

When calculating the premium, we do not take your medical history into account. A medical questionnaire is therefore not required.

Up to what age can you join?

You can join Dentalia Up up to and including your 64th birthday.

Does my entire family have to join?

Yes. Dentalia Up provides protection for your whole family: for your child, your partner and you. Every one of you deserves a sparkling smile. As a family insurance policy , it is mandatory to include everyone in your family, unless a family member already has similar insurance.

How long is the waiting period?

Every insurance policy has a waiting period. This refers to the period of time spanning from the date that you join to when you can effectively start receiving reimbursements.

Not fun if you happen to need urgent dental care just at that moment. That's why Dentalia Up does not apply a waiting period in the event of an accident or a cancer diagnosis . Also, if you go to the dentist preventively, or if you already have similar insurance, the waiting period is waived.

No waiting period in case of accident or cancer.

six months waiting period for curative dental care.
12 months waiting period for orthodontics, periodontics, dentures and implants.

Can I cancel my insurance?

You can stop your insurance at any time with a cancellation notice period of at least one month. The notice period starts on the first day of the month following the date you discontinued your insurance. You can find the standard cancellation form in My Helan. You can send it by registered post to: Boomsesteenweg 5, 2610 Wilrijk. You can also drop off your letter at your nearest Helan office or upload it via our contact form.

Think carefully before you decide to stop your insurance. Dental care is becoming increasingly expensive. Dentalia Up offers comprehensive reimbursements for preventive and curative dental care, orthodontics, dentures and implants, as well as costs related to an accident or cancer. From when does my affiliation start?

Your affiliation with Dentalia Up starts on the first day of the month following the month in which we received the affiliation forms.
