Past-service bonus for invalidity

Have you been incapacitated for work for more than one year? If so, you will be granted invalidity status due to long-term incapacity for work. Your health insurance fund may pay you a past-service bonus once per year. This is a payment amount that you receive in addition to your invalidity benefit.

What is a past-service bonus?

A past-service bonus is an additional amount paid once a year once a year. It is a payment that can be granted if you are incapacitated for work for over one year.

The past-service bonus is linked to the health index and is a fixed-sum amount. You receive it automatically through the health insurance fund, if you meet the criteria. So, you don't have to apply for the premium yourself. The payment is made annually around the end of May.
