With more than 68 recognized daycare centers, 11 out-of-school care (IBO) locations, and 90 enthusiastic childminders, Helan Childcare is the largest organization for daycare centers in Flanders. We have a unique educational approach, work at the individual pace of each child, and collaborate closely with our parents.

At our Childminder Service, we focus on both family care and group care.
Family care vs. group care?
In family care, (usually) one caregiver takes care of a maximum of 8 children.
If the care involves 9 children or more, it is considered group care. Your care must then meet the licensing requirements for group care.

Social Status (Sui Generis)
What does this mean for you?
If you work as a childminder/childcare provider with an organization (Helan Childcare), you are not bound by an employment contract. You are neither an employee nor a self-employed individual. You fall under the social status for childminders and have a cooperation agreement with the organization.
