Statutory reimbursement for contraceptives
Are you a woman aged 24 or younger? Then, through the statutory health insurance, you receive an additional reimbursement of approximately 3 euros per month for the purchase of certain contraceptives.
For the morning-after pill, the additional reimbursement is available for all women, regardless of their age.
Your general practitioner will prescribe the contraceptive for you.
Take this prescription to the pharmacy.
You only pay the patient contribution.
The discount is deducted from the price immediately.
Do you have to pay the full amount?
In exceptional cases, it may happen that you pay the full price. After your purchase, your pharmacy will give you a certificate to request reimbursement.
Submit your reimbursement request by post to Helan Health Insurance Fund, Boomsesteenweg 5, 2610 Wilrijk, with a white sticker attached. Or drop it in a Helan mailbox in your area.
Which contraceptives are eligible can be found on the website of the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (RIZIV).
