Medical approval for oxygen therapy

For short-term and long-term oxygen therapy at home, you may be eligible for reimbursement from the statutory health insurance. For this, you need medical approval from the advising physician of the health insurance fund.

What is oxygen therapy?

Oxygen therapy eliminates the lack of oxygen in damaged tissue. New blood vessels are formed, and the cells needed for recovery can improve. Because the growth of blood vessels takes time, multiple treatments are required.

Some patients need oxygen therapy for only a few days, weeks, or months. For other conditions, oxygen administration is required for a longer period. These two forms of oxygen therapy each have their own approach and conditions. We help you find your way.
